For this assignment, we were instructed to do a visual reinterpretation of a famous work. Since my roommate has always been a huge fan of "Les Miserables," I decided to reimagine her as Cosette. First, I took a digital photo of her to be the foundation. Then, after hours of working with transparencies, the paint tool, and blending modes, I finally managed to capture the feel of the original cover. To finish, I added the text "Les Lundis," which translates to "the Mondays," which is indeed synonymous with "the Miserables" when you're a full-time college student.
