This Graphic Design 1 assignment was a 4-page grayscale illustrated poem, done entirely in InDesign. After finding John Hollander's poem "Kitty: Black Domestic Shorthair" particularly intriguing, I decided to tell the story of a cat, a cozy winter home, and an ink spill. I started with the basic cats silhouettes, then gradually added details until I was happy with the feel of each page.
